Studying and living in London will be a great experience, but can also be confusing. GEOS London provides a wide range of services to help you before you leave home and during all your time here. Our friendly reception staff will answer any questions you may have.
Before Arriving
You can contact our staff get more information about GEOS London courses, accommodation and prices.
Students will be sent a pre-departure handbook for their information before they begin the course.
During Your Time at School
- The school publishes a student handbook and a range of information leaflets advising students on areas such as health and safety. The student handbook is given to students on arrival and information leaflets are available from the school office and student lounge.
Student ID card
Should be carried at all times in case of emergency. It is also useful to get discounts for entrance at some tourist attractions.
Communication
We provide student fax facilities from the school office. Don't forget we also provide free Internet and WIFI. There are many local shops who sell international phone cards to phone your family and friends.
Letters and document
Can I open a bank account? How do I get a Visa? We provide official letters and documents if necessary.
Health
If you are unlucky, you might feel ill. Our staff can tell you how to register with a doctor, give you advice on payment, help you claim on your insurance. We can also help you get student insurance if you do not have it.
Job/Work advice
If you have a Visa which enables you to work or you are an EU citizen, we will show you where to look for work and give you tax information.
